Item tax categories

Security

By default, ActivityHD considers all ARCodes to be subject to tax. Item tax categories can be used to group ARCodes for taxability and tax reporting purposes. Item tax categories can be defined to assign a nontaxable status to certain groups of ARCodes. In addition, item tax categories can be defined as taxable so that ARCodes can be grouped for tax reporting at the tax rate detail level. For instance, certain states require you to report sales and tax collected on certain product categories.

You can assign a default tax category on ARCodes. When an invoice with a particular ARCode is entered, the tax category defaults from the ARCode but can be overridden when needed.
