Salespersons
You can create salesperson records to track who in your organization is responsible for specific sales. You can assign a salesperson to each customer and/or customer location. When an invoice is entered for a customer that has a default salesperson assigned to it, that salesperson loads on the invoice but can be overridden. You can also specify a salesperson on miscellaneous invoices and unapplied payments.
- In the Navigation pane, highlight the Accounts Receivable > Setup > Salespersons folder.
- Click
. The New Salesperson window opens.
- Enter a unique Code for the salesperson.
- Enter the Full Name of the salesperson. When you tab out of this field, the components of the name are loaded in the Name section below. The Full Name field and the fields in the Name section are synced so that any change you make to one affects the other.
- In the Phone Numbers section, enter any phone numbers you want to store for the salesperson.
- In the Address section, enter the salesperson's address including city, state, and Zip Code.
- In the Email section, enter work and home email addresses for the salesperson. The email addresses become hyperlinks. To launch your email client with an email pre-addressed to the salesperson, press Ctrl+click.
- Save the new salesperson record.
When salesperson records are combined, attachments for the source salesperson(s) are added to the attachments for the target salesperson.
To combine two or more salespersons:
