Many of the entity records throughout ActivityHD can be renamed without calamitous effects on the underlying data structure—as long as you don't try to give a record a name that already belongs to another entity record of the same type. Some entity types, and rightly so, require a bit of effort to rename. GL account numbers, for instance, fall into the latter group. This topic addresses the entity records which are easy to rename.
Note
Some entities include built-in records but also allow you to add user-defined records. In most cases, you cannot rename the built-in records but the user-defined records can be renamed.
Rename an entity record
- In the Navigation pane, highlight the folder which contains the entity record you want to rename.

In the HD view, locate the record to rename and double-click it to open its edit window with the record loaded. Its entity record ID is highlighted.
- Enter the new name for the record.
- Save your changes.
