Security

The W-3 is created during the process of creating W-2s. The "Create W-3" step of the Generate W-2s wizard creates the W-3 and saves the record to the Payroll/Human Resources > Government > W-3s folder.

If you want to create W-3 records for historical data, you can do so manually.

Common accesses available on W-3s

Access A user with this access can...
Change Use the mass change action on W-3s.
Change Logs  
Custom Fields Create and edit custom fields for W-3s.
Data Have read-only access to W-3s from anywhere in the software (e.g., field validations, filters, date expressions).
Delete Delete W-3s.
Edit Edit W-3 records.
Export Export W-3 records from ActivityHD.
Import Import W-3 records into ActivityHD.
New Create new W-3 records.
Read Have read-only access to W-3 records.
Report Run reports with W-3 information.
Report Designs Create and edit report designs with W-3 information. This access enables the Report Designs button on the Output tab of report dialogs.
Shared Answers Create and edit saved answers related to W-3s.
Shared Filters Create and edit shared filters on W-3s.
Visible View the W-3s folder in the Navigation pane.
