Built-in filters

The Approval History folder located at Purchasing > Orders > Approval History contains the PO approval history detail lines for all orders for all operators based on the user's privileges. Use column sorting and filtering to view approval history for particular operators, departments, vendors, agents, etc.

When you double-click on a detail line in the HD view, the Purchase Order window opens with the Approval History tab selected and with focus in the detail line you clicked.

Approval history detail cannot be modified or deleted.

Approval history security

Common accesses available on approval history

Access A user with this access can...
Data Have read-only access to approval history from anywhere in the software (e.g., field validations, filters, date expressions).
Read Have read-only access to approval history records.
Report Run reports with approval history information.
Report Designs Create and edit report designs with approval history information. This access enables the Report Designs button on the Output tab of report dialogs.
Shared Answers Create and edit saved answers related to approval history.
Shared Filters Create and edit shared filters on approval history.
Visible View the Approval History folder in the Navigation pane.

Approval history filters

The following built-in filters are available for approval history:

Filter Name Effect
? Department Prompts for a department name and lists approval history detail for departments with a department name that contains the specified search string.
? Operator Prompts for an operator name and lists approval history detail for operators with an operator name that contains the specified search string.
Not Removed Lists current approval detail; i.e., excludes any approval lines that have been removed.
